WPP website redesign
2022
The WPP corporate website redesign aimed to elevate our online presence, aligning it more closely with WPP’s commitment to accessibility, sustainability, and brand consistency. Our objective was to create a site that accurately represents WPP's brand while improving usability, meeting accessibility standards, and reducing environmental impact.
This project was a strategic effort to make WPP’s digital experience as impactful and forward-thinking as the brand itself.
Process
Breaking down the project
The redesign began by identifying critical issues: users found the existing site difficult to navigate, visually heavy, and inaccessible due to full-bleed images that obscured text. Feedback indicated that the website no longer reflected WPP’s innovative brand identity, highlighting the need for improved usability, accessibility, and environmental impact.
Design approach
Based on these insights, we implemented a modular layout with a white-background card system to improve readability and structure. Simplified navigation and labeled sections, like ‘Work’ and ‘WPP Blog,’ made the site more intuitive and user-friendly. Key design features—high-contrast text, alt text for images, and clear layouts—enhanced inclusivity and made content easily accessible.
Collaborative execution
I worked closely with content experts, developers, and accessibility consultants throughout the process. Using an iterative approach, from wireframes to high-fidelity mockups, we ensured that every design choice aligned with WPP’s brand values while meeting the project’s usability and accessibility goals.
Result
The redesigned website has revitalized WPP’s online presence. Post-launch metrics show increased user engagement and satisfaction, a reduction in bounce rates, and positive feedback on accessibility improvements.
By focusing on both environmental impact and user experience, the site supports WPP’s commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability.
